San Juan, Puerto Rico, July 31, 2009.

Meeting between the President of the ICF ”FOR THE FUTURE OF FENCING” Mr. Vitaly Logvin and the President of the NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE of Puerto Rico Mr. David Bernier.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

A variety of subjects related to the development of fencing in the pan American continent were discussed. Besides that, the possibility of one of the integrated training seminars for coaches and athletes from the pan American continent taking place in 2010 at Puerto Rico was considered, starting before the Central American Caribbean Games during the summer of 2010.

The president of NOC Mr. D. Bernier, sent his warm congratulations to the President of FIE, Mr. A. Usmanov, for his active actions associated to the development of fencing around the world.

Mr. D. Bernier was awarded with the title of Honorary Member of ICF “FOR THE FUTURE OF FENCING” He also received a valuable present in the name of the president of FIE Mr. A. Usmanov, who is the founder of ICF.
